These are those layered adhesive mats you see at the entrances to places that need to stay clean. You just place one on the floor, and people step on it as they walk in. The high tack surface pulls dust, dirt, micro particles, and even small debris right off footwear and trolley wheels. It is surprisingly effective at catching the stuff you do not want tracking through your sensitive area.

The clever part is the multi layer construction. Once that top layer gets too dirty to be useful, you just peel it off using the numbered label.
