Sticky Mat and the Simple Idea That Keeps Clean Spaces Clean

Dust does not announce itself. It rides in on shoe soles and trolley wheels, settles quietly on surfaces, and causes trouble long before anyone notices. The sticky mat exists to stop that journey at the door. Also known as a cleanroom adhesive mat or tack mat, it is a layered sheet placed on the floor at entrances to sensitive areas, and its job is straightforward. Every footstep or wheel that crosses it leaves behind the particles it was carrying.

What makes the mat work is a pressure sensitive water based adhesive applied to each layer. The adhesion is uniform, non toxic and odorless, and it leaves nothing behind when the layer is peeled away. Numbered labels along the edge make it easy to see when a sheet is ready to come off, and the multi layer construction means a fresh sticky surface is always waiting underneath. The film is engineered to resist tearing during peeling, even in busy doorways, and it grips the floor firmly without slipping or damaging the surface beneath.

The places it turns up are the places where contamination is expensive. Cleanrooms in semiconductor and pharmaceutical production use it at airlock entrances. Hospitals place it outside operating rooms and laboratories. Electronics manufacturers rely on it to keep fine dust away from precision components. It also appears in food production facilities, automotive and aerospace plants, printing shops, and construction sites where renovation work threatens to spread dust into finished spaces. Offices, schools and gyms use it for the same reason, simply because a cleaner entrance means less cleaning everywhere else.

Nothing about the sticky mat is dramatic. It sits on the floor, catches what it can, and gets peeled away when it is full. That quiet efficiency is exactly the point.
